Joshua Kryah was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he received a Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he was a Schaeffer Fellow in poetry. His poems have appeared in Colorado Review, Denver Quarterly, The Iowa Review, Pleiades, and Verse, among other journals. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife and daughter, where he is a Visiting Assistant Professor in UNLV's University College. He is also poetry editor for Witness.
